Sal and the crew from Red Carpet were amazing! Sal was quick to return my email inquiry and was able to accommodate all of my requests. We originally thought we would try to move some of the items ourselves to save some money but with the rate we were quoted, we ended up having them do it all. We moved during one of the heat waves earlier this month and even with the heat, the crew hustled all day long. I found all of the guys extremely professional and experienced… no day laborers here 🙂 They took the time to protect the carpet in the new home with runners and were happy to place furniture to my satisfaction. We have moved many times over the years and know that there is no such thing as a perfect move. We did have one item damaged in the move, but Sal had someone to the house the next day to repair the scratched item completely to my satisfaction. Mistakes happen, but how they get corrected tells you all you need to know about the company. I know we will be moving again in the future and I know who I will be calling to help!

Based on the number of times I have moved, both locally and out of State, I could be labeled a “professional mover” with a lot of experience – some good and some bad. I used them only for unloading a long-distance move in a rented truck. Making the appointment was very easy. Sal was quite helpful, and worked around a rather specific time frame. They did a great job of calling me for a reminder for unloading. The crew was very courteous and careful. Nothing broken or damaged. For those who want to move yourself, I saved about half (compared to Mayflower or North American) by hiring a crew to load (in Oregon) and unload in Brentwood, and rent a big truck (Penske). I didn’t help much with the unloading, just pointing where things go. This is DEFINITELY the way to go! For my next move, I’d use them again. UPDATE, PS – used Red Carpet for the second half of our move a month later. Same great service! Sal and all went above and beyond making sure all went well.

We’ve always tried to move ourselves, but the prospect of lugging everything up to our new top floor apartment was not appealing. Based on their other 5 star reviews, I called Red Carpet and Sal got back to me right away. Almost everyone else was booked or unavailable due to the holiday weekend. Sal was very professional, answered all my questions and was quick to get back to me with a quote and estimated time frame so I pulled the trigger.. The day of the move, a team of 4 great guys showed up on time, looked over our inventory and got to work. They were EXTREMELY fast and efficient, but careful, wrapping up furniture and fragiles so that nothing would be damaged. After some tetris in the moving truck (everything fit just perfectly) and a short drive, we arrived at our new place to unload. They scouted the route (elevator and stairs) and were not daunted at all. They laid down some protective covers over my hardwood and newly cleaned carpets and started bringing everything up, making sure to put everything in the right room. Overall, they got things done right and in half the time I thought it would take, almost like they were trying to save me money! So, we made sure to tip everyone extra. You can probably find a “cheaper” mover on craigslist, or do it yourself, but if you want it done right and have a super smooth move, I would contact Red Carpet any day. Their pricing is very competitive and the service was excellent. Great value and ZERO stress. I hope I don’t move any time soon, but when I do, I won’t be doing it without them. Thanks!!!

1 week before I was to move I found a place to live and didn’t have to put my things in storage. This extended my move 5 days. The movers I had scheduled could not accommodate the date change. Until last weekend, my boyfriend and I lived in separate 1-bedroom apartments across the bay from each other. Red Carpet moved us out of both our our apartments into our new apartment all in 6 hours! I found Red Carpet Moving on Craigslist. Somehow in the vast sea of ads, theirs stood out. When I called to get an estimate, Sal (the sales associate) spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me. I had to give him an inventory of everything in both apartments and he gave me a great flat rate. These guys were punctual, thorough and worked their butts off moving our life to a new location.
